Principal's Welcome

A warm welcome to the Chattenden Primary School website. I hope that the site gives you an insight into the wonderful community that we have here at Chattenden. We are a successful school with high standards and this was validated by Ofsted in November 2018. We are graded as a ‘good’ school; Ofsted praised us for our ‘calm, welcoming and nurturing environment’, as well as our ‘high expectations which are shared by all and consistently applied across the school.’

Our school motto is “Success, No Matter What!” Our team strive hard to provide the best learning opportunities for all of our children, and we are extremely proud of the pupils’ superb manners, excellent attitudes to their learning and the respectful ethos we have here at Chattenden. We have high expectations of achievement, attainment and behaviour and we are committed to every child achieving their absolute best, regardless of background or starting point. All of this culminates in the school consistently being above national benchmarks at the end of each key stage.

We offer our children an exciting curriculum. We recently have been awarded a Silver Award by the School Games Mark organisation, recognising the wonderful sporting opportunities we offer our pupils. Chattenden have been very successful at the Medway Mini Youth Games. Music and performing arts is another strength of the school. The school won the national Nutcracker Ballet competition last year (December 2017). Children have the opportunity to perform in school recitals, as well as county based concerts.

We work closely with parents, governors and other external agencies to ensure that we provide the excellent opportunities for our children, enabling them to achieve academic and personal successes. Enjoy exploring the Learning Platform and we look forward to welcoming you in the near future at our superb school.

Mr. R. Boyjoonauth
