Chattenden Primary School

Recovery Premium

Recovery premium is part of the government’s package of funding to support pupils whose education has been impacted by COVID-19.

At Chattenden, we have subscribed to the National Tutoring Programme (NTP), to help diminish the difference and overcome challenges as a result of school closures during the pandemic.

We have a qualified teacher who delivers intervention to consolidate classroom teaching.

Covid Catch-up Funding

Catch Up Funding at Chattenden Primary School

The government announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up lost time after school closure. This is especially important for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds. This funding includes a one-off universal £650 million catch up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time.

At Chattenden Primary School, the Catch-Up Funding is used to provide high quality tutoring provision for our pupils and capacity to provide further opportunities for teacher led quality first teaching during the school day.

Please see our Catch-Up Funding Plan below.
