Retrieval
Our teachers use retrieval resources across the curriculum to help pupils to retain essential knowledge learned in lessons. Teachers use such strategies as a whole class recall of knowledge or individually. It is a useful tool in enabling the retention of the key learning which the pupils can refer to. When information is retrieved the original memory becomes stronger and easier to access in the future.
They can be found across the curriculum here at Chattenden. They can range from quizzes, pupils relaying information to a partner or group, pupils providing a summary of a process or topic or recall of information previously taught.
